Frequently asked questions

2. Purchase class credits
3. Select classes and check in
Once these steps are completed, your child may begin attending classes.
Yes. Our program is designed for children at different starting points, including beginners who are comfortable in the water but may not yet swim independently.
We focus on building correct technique and confidence from the beginning, rather than rushing progress.
Our program is organized into Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, with an optional Training Class.
Each level has a clear purpose and builds on the previous one. Advancement is based on readiness and skill development, not time spent.
We recommend trial classes for new students to confirm appropriate level placement and ensure the class is a good fit.
Trial fees will be no charge if the class is not suitable.
Lesson packages are offered as follows:
• 6-class package
• 12-class package (includes a package discount)
All lessons at Coach Mei Swim School follow a standard per-lesson pricing structure.
Families may purchase lesson packages and use them across different class types, including regular classes, training classes, and accelerated programs.

Progress varies by child and depends on consistency and attendance.
With regular participation, many students show noticeable improvement within 3-6 months, particularly in technique, coordination, and confidence.
Yes. Each class includes work on all four competitive strokes.
Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly.
As skills develop, instruction may include starts, turns, and fundamental training concepts.
Based on long-term coaching experience, learning multiple strokes together helps students
develop balanced technique and coordination.
Each class is 55 minutes.
Instruction progresses from focused skill work to integrated practice, using repetition to reinforce
correct technique.
Parents should bring children to the pool 5 minutes before class for check-in, then leave the
pool area during instruction.
Parents may return 5 minutes before class ends to observe and briefly communicate with the
coach.
This policy helps maintain a focused learning environment.
For best results, we recommend two or more lessons per week.
Once-a-week lessons are possible but typically result in slower progress.

They follow the same level standards as regular classes but provide faster progress through daily, continuous instruction.
